TermsCheck is a browser extension that points out clauses worth noting in a website's Terms of Service or Privacy Policy. Its analysis is generated in advance and bundled into the extension itself, so when you visit a covered site, the extension simply looks up an entry in a file it already carries. It does not send the page you are on, or anything else, to any server.
None. Specifically:
TermsCheck uses your browser's local extension storage to remember which sites you have dismissed a notice on, so it does not show you the same notice twice. This information stays on your device, is never transmitted anywhere, and is deleted when you uninstall the extension.
The extension makes no network requests of any kind while running. You can verify this yourself in your browser's developer tools: open the Network panel on any page and you will see no requests originating from TermsCheck.
TermsCheck has no third-party integrations, no advertising, and no data-sharing arrangements of any kind. Because no data is collected, there is nothing to share or sell.
TermsCheck is not directed at children and collects no information from anyone, including children.
TermsCheck is a reading aid. It highlights passages from published terms and shows you the original wording alongside them so you can read it yourself. It does not provide legal advice, is not a substitute for a lawyer, and should not be relied upon as a legal assessment of any agreement.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a revised date above. Because the extension collects no data, any change is likely to be clarification rather than a change in practice.
